In a primary school in Peru, an absolutely heartwarming story unfolds from what initially appeared to be an unfortunate incident.

The main characters are the schoolboy Lopez, his teacher Ali Bonilla Esteban, and a little dog named Pequeña.

Lopez is suddenly different

For a few days now, Mrs. Esteban has noticed that Lopez is not quite himself. He seems withdrawn and distracted, and an air of sadness and worry surrounds him.

While some teachers might grow frustrated and reprimand a student for not paying attention in class, Mrs. Esteban takes a different approach. She wonders what might be troubling Lopez.

A new classmate

She sits on Lopez’s lap during class, and the boy is transformed. Suddenly, he can concentrate better than ever before and radiates happiness.

When Mrs. Esteban offers him the opportunity to bring Pequeña to school whenever he wants, his joy knows no bounds.

As expected, he starts bringing his beloved dog to school every day from then on, and his happiness only grows.

Now, one might think that having the dog in the classroom would distract the other students and disrupt their learning. But the opposite is true.

Since Pequeña became a member of the class, everyone is more relaxed, positive, and motivated.
