Prince plays the crucial leading role…
A faithful companion
Living in the city that never sleeps is already quite demanding even without a child.
But when Halle is born in 2017 as the first child of the family, getting enough sleep becomes a rare luxury.
However, Sara and Zach have someone they can always rely on: their dog, Prince.
The brown furball faithfully accompanies Sara throughout the nine months of her pregnancy, getting to know and love Halle practically in the womb.
Nonetheless, like all parents, they are just a tad worried when the crucial moment arrives, and they finally get to introduce Halle to Prince.
A brilliant experiment
Sara remembers their first encounter as follows:
“When she first came home, he immediately ran up to her to sniff her. He knew she was small and vulnerable. But he always stayed close to her and looked after her. He was a nanny dog from day one.”
Over the years, the bond between Halle and Prince grows stronger and stronger. Halle gets her own bed and of course, like pretty much every child, wakes up in the middle of the night.
Sara or Zach usually come, almost always accompanied by Prince, to comfort her. At some point, Sara has a brilliant idea:
What if Prince helps Halle fall asleep on his own?
With that thought in mind, Sara leaves the bedroom doors open, allowing Prince to visit Halle without any obstacles.
And behold: A video that Sara posts on YouTube proves that Prince is the absolute best nanny dog in the world!
It’s incredible. Little Halle stands crying by her crib. Prince clumsily enters the room, patiently waiting on the carpet, then rolls onto the floor.
Halle follows suit and settles back into her crib. Well, if that isn’t true love…
And the parents get what they deserve: a well-earned extra helping of sleep!
