After her unforgettable performance in “Crocodile Dundee,” Linda Kozlowski became a household name around the world. Starring alongside Paul Hogan, the film wasn’t just a major success; it marked a turning point in Linda’s career. But despite her fame, Kozlowski gradually stepped away from the Hollywood spotlight after completing the “Dundee” series and a few other roles.

Linda Kozlowski was born on January 7, 1958, in Fairfield, Connecticut. Her love for acting was evident early on, and she decided to pursue it seriously by enrolling in the prestigious Juilliard School. After graduating in 1981, she began her acting career on stage, performing in several off-Broadway musicals.

Her talent and determination eventually earned her roles in Broadway productions and television, including the television adaptation of “Death of a Salesman,” where she acted alongside the legendary Dustin Hoffman.

But Linda’s journey to fame wasn’t without its struggles. After her role in “Death of a Salesman,” she found herself working as a waitress to make ends meet. During this challenging time, Dustin Hoffman, who had become a mentor to her, stepped in to help. He and his wife offered Linda a room in their Malibu beach house, giving her a stable place to stay while she pursued auditions.

It was during this period that Linda landed the audition of a lifetime. At Dustin Hoffman’s suggestion, she tried out for the role of Sue Charlton in “Crocodile Dundee.” The film, made on a modest $10 million budget, went on to become a global phenomenon, earning over $320 million.

Linda’s performance as the clever and charismatic journalist Sue Charlton made her an overnight star. “I’ll never forget that first premiere in Australia,” Linda once said. “Seeing the audience laugh and cheer was like nothing I’d ever experienced.”

Despite her newfound fame, Linda felt she wasn’t getting the recognition she deserved in Hollywood. Many of the roles offered to her were uninspired—often as the girlfriend of a comedic lead.

Frustrated with the lack of meaningful opportunities, she declined those offers, though she did reprise her role as Sue Charlton in the “Crocodile Dundee” sequels. By the time the third movie was released, Linda decided she’d had enough of acting.

While working on the “Crocodile Dundee” films, Linda developed a deep connection with her co-star Paul Hogan. The chemistry between them wasn’t just on screen—it blossomed into a real-life romance. The two married in 1990 and welcomed their son, Chance, in 1998. For a while, they seemed to have it all, but in 2014, their marriage ended in divorce.

Following the separation, Linda chose to take charge of her own happiness. Armed with a generous divorce settlement, she decided to reinvent her life. Her journey led her to Morocco, where she met Moulay Hafid Baba, a local tour guide.

Their connection was immediate and life-changing. Together, they established Dream My Destiny, a high-end tourism company based in Marrakech. “We wanted to offer travelers something unique,” Linda explained. “Every itinerary is tailored to the client’s preferences, making their experience truly unforgettable.”

Linda’s life underwent a complete transformation. She traded the glitz and glamour of Hollywood for the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes of Morocco. At the age of sixty-three, Linda Kozlowski remains content with her decision to step away from acting.

She has embraced a fulfilling career in the travel industry, using the same intuition and people skills she honed as an actress to create memorable vacations for her clients.

Though she’s no longer in the film industry, Linda Kozlowski’s legacy as Sue Charlton lives on. Fans still remember her witty charm and undeniable chemistry with Paul Hogan. Today, Linda finds joy in her new chapter, proving that life after Hollywood can be just as exciting and rewarding.
