Incidents at the airport are usually quite annoying because they often mean delays and missed flights.
However, the waiting passengers at Gate F80 of Tampa International Airport in Florida don’t care at all about catching their flight that day.
Suddenly, they become unexpected witnesses to one of the most beautiful moments on Earth.
Ellie Becomes a Mother
The pregnant Golden Retriever lady, Eleanor Rigby, or Ellie for short, is set to embark on a flight today with her owner Diane and her dog-husband Golden Nugget.
But when labor starts, it begins. In this case, it starts while Ellie is in the waiting area at Gate F80 with Diane and Golden Nugget.
It all begins abruptly. Diane and the others take seconds to comprehend what’s happening.
Then the team from Tampa Fire Rescue Department rushes in with a blanket and towels while the waiting passengers either film the unique moment or just watch with wide eyes.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – how many more little puppies are on the way?
Ellie labors for hours to bring her little ones into the world. Golden Nugget and the people can’t do much but receive the newborns.
But Ellie does her job well. Soon, five cute little Golden Retriever puppies see the light of day.
But it keeps going. A sixth puppy arrives, and then a seventh. So far, all are boys.
Then there’s a surprise: an eighth puppy arrives, and it’s a girl!
Natalie and Her Siblings
The little latecomer is named Natalie, after the paramedic who assisted in the birth.
Her brothers are named after the male team members from the Tampa Fire Rescue Department, who formed a protective circle around the expectant mother and her babies during the birth.
All are healthy and lively. Ellie is exhausted but very happy, as is Golden Nugget, her owner Diane, and everyone who had the privilege of witnessing this unexpected event.
Ellie and her family can’t take their flight because it’s not allowed to travel with such young puppies.
So, Diane hits the road with the dog family in her car. It may take longer, but the adorable canine family makes the journey more than bearable.
