Unfortunately, even today, there are still places where animals are abandoned. One of these places is visited daily by Judy. Judy works for TAO Animal Rescue.
It’s part of her routine to search this location in Texas for animals in need. Here, she also comes across the Pitbull named Harley.
Left on a Blanket
Harley was simply left behind by her previous owner. Faithful as a dog is, she sits on her blanket, waiting for her owner to come and get her.
Judy wants to save Harley, but she is very shy. It takes a full 45 minutes for Harley to build enough trust to approach Judy and eat.
Finally, Judy can take a leash and get Harley acquainted with it before she can put it on her.
Judy places Harley on the back seat of her truck. Harley immediately falls asleep and snores. A touching moment for Judy.
Happy Ending for Harley
It doesn’t take long for Harley to find a family. She is well taken care of by her new adoptive parents.
Judy is particularly delighted. Tears well up in her eyes as she talks about how Harley runs through the snow. Her first thought:
“She’s not running from someone who wants to hurt her.”

“She was not only abandoned on a garbage heap, but someone obviously also cut off her ears with scissors or a knife. Imagine the pain. Yet her heart is so big, and she is so loving! A thousand thanks to the rescuers.”
