In India, concerned citizens call the animal rescue hotline after spotting a dog wandering around the area with her fur covered in scabs and sores. Clearly, she is sick and in significant distress.
The animal rescue team quickly rushes to the scene, but the dog, driven by fear, runs away. What ensues is a chase that’s also a race against time.
Fear of the Sun
The Indian animal rescue team from “Animal Aid” receives an urgent call: a dog has been sighted with red and cracked skin, a result of a severe case of mange.
To protect herself from further pain, she spends most of her time seeking refuge under bridges or similar shelters. Normally soothing rays of sunshine exacerbate her suffering.
As the rescue team slowly approaches the dog, her immediate reaction is to flee, likely due to her fear of more pain and discomfort.
The Chase
However, the team remains undeterred and pursues the dog for an hour through the area.
Finally, they succeed in capturing the ailing dog, whom they name Lottie.
This proves to be her stroke of luck. During an initial examination, the vet determines that without treatment for mange, Lottie would have had only a short time left.
Her entire coat has fallen out, with her skin underneath marred by cracks and scabs. Whether from fear, pain, or cold, Lottie constantly shivers.
Promising Treatment
Immediate treatment commences, and Lottie bravely endures it. She stands quietly as she is bathed and medicated.
Even though she looks like a sorry sight, Lottie wags her tail. She knows that help is being extended to her.
Over the course of months, she undergoes treatment for her skin ailment. After just three weeks, her skin looks considerably better.

She loves to play and receive affection from humans. Now, this is possible since her beautiful light brown coat with a golden shimmer has regrown.
Finally, the treatment has led to the desired outcome, and Lottie gets to be the wonderful dog she has always been.
