The animal rescue organization, The Animal Pad, has saved many dogs. When little Lenny appears, Ally and her colleague are still shocked.
His fur is completely matted. This is bad for dogs since overly long, matted fur can easily get caught somewhere, tug on the skin, and provide a breeding ground for parasites.
Snip, snip, the hair is cut
For Lenny to have a chance at being adopted, he first needs to be freed from his matted fur. Ally and Lauren take their time with this.
Before shaving him, they let him get used to them to build trust. Then they find a spot from which they can remove the matted fur.
Gradually, they shave off the fur. Lenny remains calm throughout the process. He even looks grateful, as the two animal rescuers observe.
But when they attempt to remove the fur around his ears and head, Lenny starts to move. He repeatedly turns to Lauren, showering her with gratitude kisses!
Off to the foster family
After the shave, Lenny goes into the care of foster mom Christina. Lenny now looks like a plucked chicken. Fortunately, his fur will grow back.
Christina’s biggest concern is how Lenny will react to her husband and son because Lenny has had bad experiences with men.
However, her worry is unfounded because Lenny is immediately drawn to the men in the house.
“Thanks to everyone who helped Lenny get adopted and live his best life,” writes @ninjanana102 in the video comments, and we can only agree.
