Waking up in a strange place and finding out you’re all alone is really scary, especially for animals. But why would someone leave them like that?

A rescue group called Love Furry Friends in Ukraine got a call from a bus driver who found a surprise at a bus stop.

When they got there, they saw a box by the benches.

It was a sad sight, imagining being left in such a lonely place.

Then, two little heads popped out of the box – one black and one white. They were puppies!

The bus driver told the rescuers he didn’t know how long they’d been there.

The rescuers saw a pad in the box, which made them think someone left the puppies on purpose. They found out both puppies were girls, which they said happens a lot because it costs more to take care of female dogs.

Thankfully, the puppies seemed okay. They were dirty, but they were happy and friendly. The rescuers named them Mia and Leya and started taking care of them right away.

First, they gave them food and water.

The puppies were so hungry they ate like they hadn’t eaten in days!

Then, they got a bath at a grooming salon, which made them look and feel much better.

After their bath, the puppies got some toys – probably the first toys they ever had!

Now, the rescuers are hoping to find them new families. They’re asking for donations to help take care of Mia, Leya, and other animals they rescue.

People online praised the rescuers and the bus driver for helping the puppies.

They called them angels for making sure the puppies got a second chance at a happy life.
