The best way to make the world a better place is by teaching our children to care for others. When we show kindness, everything seems to fall into place.
Six siblings from New York, a 10-year-old, two twins, and a set of triplets, lost a very close friend to cancer. The boy had been battling the disease for a while, and during his chemo treatments, he lost his hair. This made the siblings very sad. When they learned their friend had passed away, they decided to honor him by growing their hair long to donate it to other kids with cancer.
They kept their plan a secret. Even their mom didn’t know why they were all refusing haircuts.
As their hair grew longer each month, their classmates started teasing them more and more.
They were called names and told they looked like girls. But the siblings didn’t care because they had a purpose and were determined to reach their goal.
Finally, when it was time to donate their hair, they collected a combined 17 feet of hair. Impressive, isn’t it?
It’s heartwarming to see such young children be so loving and caring.
