Cats are often seen as independent creatures, but Toby, a special cat, proves that they can be just as loyal and loving as dogs.

This shocking response left many saddened by Toby’s plight, but fortunately, the public shelter refused to carry out the request.

The shelter reached out to the SPCA of Wake County, who promptly rescued Toby and provided him with the medical care he needed.

Although Toby tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus and had an upper respiratory infection, the SPCA ensured he received the treatment necessary for his recovery.

During his time at the shelter, Toby’s sweet and affectionate nature won over the staff, despite his initial reluctance to interact with other cats.

Once he was fully healed, Toby’s photo was shared on social media, resulting in an overwhelming response from people eager to adopt him.

Michele Puckett of Raleigh, North Carolina, was one of those individuals drawn to Toby’s story. After meeting him, she knew they were meant to be together, and Toby found his forever home with her, alongside two cat siblings.

Now, Toby spends his days showered with love and attention, enjoying cuddles and claiming his spot on the bed.
