Best friends can be found anywhere. In the case of the dog Milo, it happened during a walk when his owner Charlotte found an injured Rose-breasted Cockatoo.
The bird was bleeding from one wing and couldn’t fly. Charlotte took him to the vet, who determined that the Cockatoo wouldn’t survive on its own for long. So she decided to adopt him.
A Bond Like Siblings
The Rose-breasted Cockatoo was named Cracker and quickly became friends with Milo. In no time, the two of them became inseparable. They were constantly by each other’s side.
They even had conversations with barks and chirps, adopting some behaviors from one another. Cracker even extended his tongue for giving kisses.
Cracker couldn’t fly too far, but it was enough to have a great time with Milo and play. Cracker loved Milo so much that he would even groom his fur.
Cracker Disappears
When Cracker suddenly disappeared, it not only worried Charlotte but also left Milo desperately searching for his friend. Two weeks went by without any sign of Cracker.
Charlotte found Cracker again on Facebook. She told the person who found him that she had taken him in and that he had flown away.
When no one believed her, she played her trump card. She brought Milo as a witness, and the reunion between the two animals was so heartwarming that they were believed.
The comments are filled with joy for this unlikely pair.
“Oh, they are both beautiful. I bless you for saving Cracker and giving him a wonderful forever home with a big furry brother. Great video, thanks for sharing,”
