During walks in the woods, many things can happen. Occasionally, squirrels might run across your path, capturing the attention of dogs.

Sometimes, however, walkers and their four-legged companions come across entirely different animals, like this adorable baby bird in the video!

An Adventurous Stroll

During their walk, the owner and his dog discover a tiny baby. It’s a young bird.

It can be assumed that the dog spotted the little chick before its owner did.

The dog is a Pointer breed, often used for hunting, and has a distinctive characteristic: they show their owners what they’ve found.

This dog does the same. With a rigid posture and his nose pointing towards the chick, he waits for his owner to notice his discovery.

Bird Baby Awaits Mom

The little chick doesn’t seem to grasp that it’s in potential danger.

Fortunately, the dog doesn’t snap at the bird; instead, he waits for his owner.

However, as the dog gets closer to the bird baby, it doesn’t shy away. Instead, it opens its beak wide.

The chick is probably waiting for its mother, who typically feeds the young bird outside the nest and cares for the offspring.

Since the chick’s mother is nowhere in sight, it chooses the next best option and tries to get food from the big dog.

It’s truly a cute misunderstanding, which, thanks to the patient and gentle dog, has a happy ending.

Confusion on Both Sides

Not only does the chick seem somewhat confused, but the dog is also uncertain about what to do in this situation.

YouTube viewers also noticed this and found the unlikely scenario amusing. User user-bw5xf3yr3m comments:

“Poor dog didn’t know what to do to help. God bless you and your dog.”

Another viewer, jlk7841, recognizes the dog’s confusion and attempts to guess its thoughts. He writes:
