Street dogs often find themselves in dangerous situations. They are then often left on their own, helpless and lost.

However, there are sometimes attentive people who seek help and heroic rescuers. That’s what happened in the case of this dog stranded in a river in Serbia.

A Hopeless Situation

The black-and-white four-legged friend somehow managed to become stranded on a small island in the middle of a large river.

It’s presumed that he fell from the bridge into the water and then made his way to the piece of land.

Climbing up to the bridge was not an option for him, and swimming to the shore against the current seemed equally hopeless. So, he sat there, helpless and at a loss.

Up on the bridge, some people noticed the little dog’s plight. They tried to get help for the four-legged friend, but initially without success.

But then, finally, they reached an animal rescuer: Sasha Peric, who has already helped over 1,000 dogs out of emergency situations.

Athletic Rescue with a lot of Care

Sasha skillfully descends the bridge, then jumps onto the small island and approaches the dog cautiously.

The furry one has no fear of Sasha, probably just grateful that someone has come to rescue her from this predicament.

Immediately, the little dog lets Sasha pet and comfort her. Then Sasha takes the dog in his arms and moves toward the bridge.

The difficulty now is getting the dog back up. The bridge is very high, and Sasha can’t climb and hold the dog at the same time.

But Sasha is fortunate to have another helper with him, waiting on a ledge halfway up the bridge’s pillar.

Sasha stretches himself out to reach the dog up. The other man initially struggles to grasp the stray dog because, of course, the dog isn’t wearing a collar.

But with a lot of finesse, he manages to secure the dog. Now he has the dog safely in his grip and pulls it up.

Then he must reach the dog up one more level. Thankfully, the attentive people who spotted the dog are waiting at the top.

Finally, it’s done – the dog is up on safe ground. Sasha and the other helper have climbed back up as well.

The furry friend has survived the unintended adventure well and allows the people to give it plenty of cuddles for comfort.
