A Businessman with a Big Heart
It’s teachers from the village who notice the helpless baby donkey. They themselves cannot take in little Kadife, but there’s someone who can.
His name is Mert Akkök, and he lives in an outlying district of the Turkish capital. There, he owns a farmhouse with a large piece of land.
Mert is a businessman, but above all, he is a big animal lover. He has taken in many helpless animals who now live with him.
He cannot close his heart to the suffering of animal children, in particular.
Kadife and Benek
When Kadife comes to Mert, it’s winter, and it’s very cold outside.
So, the little donkey girl gets to spend a large part of the day inside the house. Here, she not only gets to know humans but also many dogs.
The furry friends become her best friends, and they remain so as Kadife spends more and more time outdoors.
In fact, she becomes a kind of pack leader. Her very special friend is the Pitbull Benek.
“Wherever Kadife is, Benek is there too. They never spend much time apart from each other,”
explains Mert. The two of them prefer to relax and doze together in the garden.
Cuddle Queen Kadife
Among all the dogs, donkeys, and horses living with Mert, Kadife has become a queen. She crowned herself.
What she wants most from her subjects is affection. Kadife is a true cuddle queen, and no one can resist her.
Even Mert is not exempt. If Kadife wants to play, he must obey.
