The Neighborly Showdown
Fridays had become Susan’s worst nightmare. Every week, without fail, her neighbor Jessica’s guests would park their cars in Susan’s driveway, blocking her in. After countless frustrating evenings, Susan decided she’d had enough. It was time to put an end to it.
Frustration Boils Over
Every Friday night, Susan would pull into her street after a long, exhausting day at work, only to find a strange car sitting in her driveway. It happened so often that her anger had become a routine. Each time, she would march over to Jessica’s house, trying to stay calm but failing every time.
“Jessica, this needs to stop. You can’t just let your guests park in my driveway!” Susan said firmly one Friday night.
But Jessica just shrugged as if it was no big deal. “It’s just for one night, Susan. You can park on the street, can’t you?” she replied, brushing off Susan’s concerns like they were nothing.
Emergency Escalation
One Friday night, things went from bad to worse. Susan received a panicked call from her mom, who needed to get to the hospital right away. Susan dashed outside, her heart pounding, but there it was—a stranger’s car blocking her driveway yet again.
Desperate, she tried to find the owner, but no one knew whose car it was. With no time to lose, Susan had to call a taxi, feeling more helpless and furious than ever before. That was the final straw.
Revenge Unleashed
The next Friday, Susan was ready. When Jessica’s guests once again parked in her driveway, Susan didn’t confront Jessica. Instead, she calmly drove her car in behind the intruder’s vehicle, blocking it in completely. Then she went inside her house and waited.
It wasn’t long before there was a loud knock at her door. Jessica was standing there, fuming. “Susan, move your car right now! My guests need to leave!”
But Susan was done being polite. She looked Jessica straight in the eye and said, “No, Jessica. I’m tired of this nonsense. This is my driveway, and I’m not moving my car. Your guests can figure it out.”
Police Intervention
Jessica stormed off, furious, and minutes later, she called the police, certain they would make Susan move her car. When Officer Miller arrived, he surveyed the situation. Jessica was nearly shouting, demanding that Susan be forced to move her car.
But Susan, always one step ahead, had thought of everything. She walked outside, pretending to be a bit tipsy. “Oh, Officer, I’d love to move my car, but I’ve had a bit to drink. I don’t think it’s safe for me to drive right now,” she said sweetly.
Officer Miller looked at Jessica and then back at Susan. “If she’s been drinking, she can’t legally drive. And as long as her car is parked on her own property, there’s nothing we can do about it,” he said calmly.
Jessica’s face turned red with anger, but there was nothing more she could do. The officer left, and Susan’s car stayed right where it was.
Resolution
The next morning, Susan decided to take things a step further. She went to the police station and filed a formal complaint about the repeated parking violations. Officer Miller, already familiar with the situation, reviewed her complaint and issued fines to Jessica’s guests for illegally parking in Susan’s driveway.
The story spread quickly through the neighborhood, and Susan became something of a local hero. People chuckled at how she had turned the tables on Jessica and her guests.
From that day on, no one ever dared to park in Susan’s driveway again.
