Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue in Monroe, MI is among the rescues benefiting from donations provided by the GOODS Program. Many of the Huskies and Husky mixes under the care of this rescue were discovered as strays, and Lilly, a beautiful dog, was one of them. Before being taken in by the rescue, Lilly never experienced the comfort of a warm bed or enjoyed a nutritious meal.

Now, thanks to the generosity and support the rescue has received, Lilly is gradually adapting to the life of a typical dog. She resides in a home environment, receiving ample food each day, and is slowly realizing she no longer needs to worry about her next meal. It’s a significant adjustment for a former stray, but Lilly appears to be as happy as can be.

Lilly is just one example of the numerous Huskies that this rescue has rescued and provided with new homes, including Mufasa, Loki, and Tonkatana. With donations from the GOODS Program, the rescue can more easily take in dogs, as staff members are less burdened by concerns about the cost of food. This allows them to allocate funds to other critical areas of care, particularly medical needs.
