When dogs have bad experiences with humans, it often makes it very difficult for them to trust again.
However, some dogs show unwavering trust and gratitude. Meira is a great example of how trusting and thankful a dog can be.
A canine family all alone at home
Meira is found in an abandoned house with her 14 siblings and their mother. Their previous owners simply left them behind.
Their mother is not doing well, having fed all her children without having enough for herself, which has taken a toll on her strength and health.
Meira instantly falls in love with her new family
After their rescue, the dogs are visited by a potential adoptive family. Meira immediately snuggles up in the woman’s lap and is adopted right away.
From then on, she becomes obsessed with her new human, who spends a lot of time with Meira. This includes two walks a day.
Additionally, her owner sews her toys back together after Meira has torn them apart during rough play, and the dog watches the operation with concern.
Meira also has a board with buttons. When she presses the corresponding buttons, it activates a voice message. This way, she can communicate and express her wishes.
