It really affected my confidence, and at one point, I even tried to change my size by working out.”
Despite her initial doubts, Brittany and Matt quickly realized they were in love. On January 30, 2022, Matt proposed, and they immediately began planning their future together.
Even though they were comfortable with each other, they couldn’t ignore how others might view their relationship. “People comment on Instagram and say that I’m not big enough or man enough for her,” Matt shared about the remarks he’s received online. “I do notice people staring when we walk down the street,” he added.
But no matter how many people don’t understand or criticize their relationship, Matt and Brittany are unwavering in their love for each other.
Matt has also had his own struggles when it comes to dating women of “normal” size in the past. But with Brittany, he felt something different—something real. He knew she was his soulmate because of how she made him feel. He loves her for who she is and works hard to make sure she’s happy.
“You are worthy, you are deserving of infinite love every single day and more,” Matt recently wrote, expressing his love for Brittany without holding back. “I know we were meant to be together by the way you look at me and feel the same way I do about you.”

Brittany and Matt are working to normalize relationships between people of different sizes. “I wish mixed-weight relationships were more common and more the norm,” Brittany said, expressing her hope for the future.
