There’s something special about couples who’ve been together for years. They seem to know each other so well, almost like they can read each other’s minds. That’s exactly what Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, are like. They’ve been married for nearly three decades, and Mark knows his wife better than anyone. On Kelly’s 54th birthday, he made sure to surprise her with something she absolutely loves – her favorite treat!
Kelly couldn’t help but joke about it, saying, “Thank you, Carvel! Thank you for inventing Fudgie the Whale, which is the only reason I agree to turn older every year.”
Mark and Kelly: A True Power Couple
The couple’s love story goes way back to 1995 when they first met on the set of All My Children. Just a year later, in 1996, they eloped, starting a life full of love and adventure. Now, they’re parents to three kids: Michael, 26, Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 20. Keeping a marriage strong for 28 years takes dedication, but Mark and Kelly seem to have cracked the code.
To celebrate Kelly’s birthday, Mark took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message, along with a series of cute photos. The post was set to Madonna’s song Addicted. He wrote, “Happy Birthday Sexy! I’m so glad you were born. What a beautiful sprint around the sun. The best is yet to come. P.S. I promise not to snore so much this year.”
Kelly, of course, responded with love, writing, “Thank you, baby, excellent song choice.”
Their fans were quick to jump in and wish Kelly a happy birthday, too. One of the first was Andy Cohen, who commented, “The song!!! Happy birthday!”
Another fan gushed, “Gorgeous!! Love you on the show, love you period!! Happy bday!”
One fan even got creative with their comment, writing, “Happiest birthdays to you, Kelly! I promise not to snore as much to my husband! Have an awesome day! I love you so much!”
Kelly’s 54th birthday seemed like a blast, filled with love, cake, and maybe less snoring this year. Here’s to another amazing trip around the sun for her!
