Some dogs are so enamored with water that even fish might get jealous.
As soon as these furry water enthusiasts see a sufficient amount of their favorite liquid, they want to jump in and swim.
The Pitbull in this video is no different. But before he can indulge in his favorite activity, he has to demonstrate how well-behaved he is.
Stay
There lies the Pitbull on the stone tiles in the garden, with a large pool temptingly close by.
If he could, he’d be in the glorious water with a single leap. However, his owner uses the dog’s love for water to test his obedience.
“Stay!”
we hear her say. What is the poor guy supposed to do? He obediently stays put, even though his paws are itching.
Come
“Come!”
the woman says next, and the dog rushes past her towards the water. He is immediately corrected because “Come!” is, of course, not permission to swim.
The clever dog understands this and promptly obeys. His wagging tail indicates how filled he is with anticipation for his swimming lesson.
Sit
Now there’s another command. This time it’s the classic.
“Sit!”
says the woman, and the furry one sits down. Now comes the instruction:
“Down!”
Obediently, the Pitbull lies down. Dogs will do anything to be able to splash around soon.
The redemption
Now he’s almost there. He just has to endure one last “Stay.”
Then the woman utters the redeeming words:
“Okay, you can swim,”
and the happy dog leaps into the water with joy. Now he is literally in his element.
