A plus-sized influencer is standing up to trolls who tell her to cover up her size 22 body. Abby Bible, who proudly says she “will always be unapologetically fat,” faced a storm of online criticism when she began posting bold, scantily clad photos.
Despite the cruel comments, Abby dismisses her critics, firmly believing that plus-size bodies are “hot” and “look good in a bikini.”
While some people praise her beauty and confidence, others argue that their negativity isn’t about her clothes but concerns over the health effects of being overweight. Keep reading to learn more about Abby Bible and her fight against online trolls!
In a world obsessed with unrealistic beauty standards, influencers like Abby Bible are essential for promoting self-love and body positivity.
Despite facing negativity, the 25-year-old stays positive and celebrates her love for fashion, sending a powerful message to her followers.
Standing at 6-foot-1, Abby often explains on Instagram that she refuses to conform to society’s “toxic” expectations.
“As a teen, I accepted that I would never be seen as ‘feminine’ because the media tells us we must be small, dainty, cute, and soft-spoken. Over the years, I believed that to be feminine meant to be desirable and worthy of a good life,” writes the New York-based influencer. “I’ve slowly freed myself from these toxic thoughts…”
Appearing on Dr. Phil to talk about body positivity, Abby shared her struggle with weight since childhood. “At 14, I was about 200 pounds… I had a personal trainer who wasn’t very nice. They told me if I wanted friends, I needed to lose weight, and that no one would ever love me if I was fat.”
Abby once lost 100 pounds, weighing in at about 235 pounds, but it “didn’t solve any of her problems” and she was still unhappy “having the body everyone wanted.”
Now, in a loving relationship, Abby is on a mission to remind others that plus-size bodies are “hot” and “look good in a bikini.”
In a recent TikTok video, which has garnered over 82,000 views, Abby wears a red string bikini, responding to a troll who says, “fat people shouldn’t wear string bikinis.”
“If you don’t like it, look away,” she captions the clip, playfully gazing into the camera and mouthing, “I don’t care.”

Many fans were supportive, thanking her for the inspiration. “I bought my first bikini because of you. Seriously,” writes one. Another shares, “You look amazing, wish I had your body confidence too.”
But amidst the support, trolls criticize her, suggesting she lacks self-respect. “Well, you should care, that’s disrespectful to yourself,” writes one. Another asks, “Where’s your self-respect?” A third comments, “Just because they make it in our size doesn’t mean you need to wear it. Have some respect for yourself.”
Some critics argue that her weight poses serious health risks. “All I see is a lot of strain on her heart and joints, but again, that’s her choice!” writes one user on Facebook. “The worry is when health complications like diabetes arise, it puts pressure on our national healthcare!”
Another says, “I don’t have a problem with body positivity unless it promotes a body composition with serious health risks as the new normal.”
“I believe in embracing inner beauty and that everyone can dress how they please, but she is heading for health issues like diabetes, heart failure, and joint problems,” another comment reads. “I hope she still feels comfortable in her skin when she is wheelchair-bound. It’s sad she can’t see the damage to her health.”
Abby hasn’t directly addressed these health concerns but reminds everyone, “Just because you’re thin, doesn’t mean you’re better than me.”
She adds, “I am an unapologetic fat girl… You can take it or leave it because I’m always going to be happy with myself.”
In the end, happiness is what matters, and if Abby feels she’s found it, we hope her health allows her happiness to continue.
