A dark shadow over the city of Orlando: Officers of the Orlando Police Department uncover a crime.
While arresting a woman for a serious theft, they find a sad, neglected little dog named Sullivan. He is covered in a matted tangle of fur. His miserable condition is a clear indication of years of neglect.
The founder of Central Florida Fosters, Dannielle Southon, describes the scene as heart-wrenching. She immediately recognizes that this little guy urgently needs help, which he didn’t receive at home.
Sullivan finally finds comfort and care
After being rescued by the officers, Sullivan is taken to a nearby animal shelter.
The little dog receives not only much-needed grooming but also the love and care he deserves.
His sad, matted appearance gives way to a bright, adorable face. The transformation is breathtaking and touches the hearts of everyone who meets Sullivan.
However, it becomes evident that his owner is incapable of taking care of him. Southon decides to give Sullivan a second chance as a foster pet.
“When I saw his picture, it really touched my heart. I knew when I met him for the first time that he was a sweetheart because he gave me kisses right away,”
she says.
A happy future: Looking for a forever home
“Oh my God, what a change! I can’t imagine how much better he must feel after getting rid of that dirty and smelly fur,”
Southon comments when she sees the furry friend again.
Sullivan thrives under Southon’s loving care. He becomes playful, joyful, and starts to reveal his true nature.
His caretaker also ensures a reunion with the brave officer who saved him and describes it as follows:
“She cried, I had tears in my eyes. It was so heartwarming to see how happy he was with her. She couldn’t believe how great he looked and kept saying that he now appeared to be a completely different dog.”
Now, he is ready for his forever home.
Vaccinated and full of joy, Sullivan is waiting to be adopted by a family that will give him the love and care he has long been deprived of.
