Denver and Star are canine siblings with an incredibly close bond.
One of them appears to feel responsible for the other, and there’s a heartwarming reason behind it.
An Unbelievable Story
Star is blind, and her canine brother Denver is her guide.
Guide dogs for blind people are well-known, but how does a dog react to a blind canine companion?
The story of Denver and Star illustrates this quite well, but to understand, we need to go back a bit:
Both dogs were born as an unwanted litter and were abandoned along with their mother.
Fortunately, they were discovered by a compassionate family that gave the mother a home. The puppies were taken to a rescue center.
Star Is a Special Dog
It wasn’t until later that the rescuers realized that Star is a special dog. While her siblings frolic and explore the world, she cautiously tries to grasp her surroundings.
Star seems overwhelmed, but her brother Denver always wants to watch over her and stands by her side.
When they are separated, he quickly rushes to her and protects her.
The reason behind it all: It turns out that Star is deaf and almost blind.
Denver Never Leaves Her Side
His dedication to Star seems unwavering. He gently nudges his sister to let her know he’s there.
Furthermore, he usually stays close to her so that Star can identify him through her keen sense of smell.
Day in and day out, he navigates her through the world with care and precision.
When Star moves in an unfamiliar place, she cautiously places one paw in front of the other to gain her bearings.
Denver is always there, looking out for her.
This duo works together perfectly and should never be separated. They can only go to a new home together because the bond that connects them is truly unique.
