There are stories that touch the heart and leave us in awe.
One such tale revolves around Dozer, an imposing Rottweiler who encounters a tiny puppy and exhibits the most remarkable reaction.
A big Rottweiler afraid of a tiny puppy? Sounds unusual, but that’s precisely what happens when Dozer meets his new sister, Daisy.
An Unexpected Beginning: Dozer’s Initial Fears
The initial days of their encounter are marked by Dozer’s apprehension. He constantly tries to avoid the puppy.
According to Kimberly Ward, the mother of Dozer and Daisy, Daisy is so small, outgoing, and charismatic that she constantly tries to encourage Dozer to play.
She dances around him, nibbles on his feet, and barks until Dozer finally gives in and plays with her.
“When he first ran with her and found out she would chase him, he was hooked. He found out he could be interactive with her. He knew he had to be gentle with her, and she was tiny,”
Ward explained to The Dodo.
Daisy Brings Joy and Chaos: The Source of Family Entertainment
Daisy brings out the puppy in Dozer and ensures plenty of entertainment in the family.
She engages in mischief, making sure it’s never dull.
Due to Daisy’s exuberant energy, Ward decides to bring another small dog into the family alongside the two Rottweilers.
Enter Mocha, who becomes Daisy’s perfect playmate.
A Deep Friendship: Dozer and Daisy Remain Closely Connected
A year has passed since Daisy’s arrival, and the bond between her and Dozer remains strong.
Daisy knows how to coax Dozer into joining in her antics, even when the other dogs aren’t interested.
Mocha, who has now grown up, is the exact opposite of Daisy.
She is calm and affectionate but still loves to play with the big dogs.
As for the possibility of adding another little sister or brother to the family, Ward answers with a wink,
“There’s always a chance we’ll get an even smaller sister or brother.”
For Dozer and Daisy, the more, the merrier!
