During a hike with a friend, Lynne hears a bleating sound. When she looks around, she notices a sheep stuck in a mud hole.
The sheep is sunk up to its neck in the pit. Apparently, it’s not sinking any further because the hole isn’t deeper. But it can’t free itself.
Lynne doesn’t hesitate for a second
Upon realizing that the sheep can’t get out of the pit and is bleating for help, she hands her backpack and phone to her friend and goes to help.
Her friend films the rescue with her phone while Lynne approaches the sheep. To avoid further frightening it, she tries to calm it down first.
Then, she gently grabs the sheep’s horns. With great effort, she pulls on the horns. The sheep remains still and doesn’t resist.
After a few strong pulls, the woman manages to free the animal from the mud trap.
The sheep is saved
After pulling the sheep out of the pit, it becomes clear how exhausted the animal is. Its fur is also soaked with mud. The sheep can’t stand.
Lynne pulls the sheep by the horns to a nearby river. There, she can wash off the mud. Finally, the sheep can stand and looks at its rescuer gratefully.
Viewers are impressed by Lynne’s rescue. @bonnieforman9700 writes:
“Wow. She’s so strong! I don’t know many people who could pull that sheep out, then into the river, and pull it out again. Bravo, Lynne, thank goodness you were there. So touching.”
