Hunger Triumphs over Fear
The animal rescuer approaching the hideout knows the puppy is hungry. So, she lures him with food, very gently and calmly. And indeed, she succeeds in luring the little dog to her. He follows the food right into her arms.
She takes him home, introduces him to other dogs and cats, and provides the normal life of a dog inside a home. And soon, fear gives way to deep trust.
The Earlier They’re Rescued, the Better
It’s always heartening to see how quickly dogs can adapt to a new situation. It’s this adaptability that has allowed them to become humans’ best friends.
