Originally, Kupata, the name of the dog, was a stray adopted by the local community.
People adore him, and he loves them.
A Dog with a Special Task
As a special dog, Kupata naturally has a special task: he works as a traffic cop in Batumi.
Here, he helps children safely cross the road. Whenever a car passes by, Kupata gets really angry.
“He takes his job very seriously. Sometimes, he waits for an hour to ensure the children arrive safely at the park and cross the street unharmed,”
says Tamta, a resident.
Loyal Dog Loves His People
He is very loyal not only to the children but also to the entire community.
It would never occur to him to leave the neighborhood.
This is remarkable for a dog who is still a stray without a real family.
However, he does have a favorite person, Nona. She is the one who feeds him every day.
But let’s be honest; he won’t go hungry because everyone provides him with food.
Stray Becomes an Ambassador for All Strays
Kupata not only has his own doghouse with a Hollywood star, his own food and water station, and a mural.
He even has his own social media manager who manages his Facebook and Instagram accounts.
This raises awareness of the plight of stray dogs in Georgia.
All the residents of Batumi want as many stray animals as possible to have as much luck in their lives as Kupata.
