A young woman named Krista is on vacation in Bolivia. When she is about to leave in her car after a few weeks, she can’t believe her eyes.
In the rearview mirror, she sees a dog following her car – and this continues for several kilometers through the city.
The dog has made a decision
After some time, Krista can no longer bear to see the dog chasing her car.
He seems to be in good condition, but running for so long and at such speed is definitely not good. Besides, the four-legged one probably has a reason – or is he chasing the car just for fun?
Krista stops and gets out. Now the dog stops too. And what does he do? He runs straight toward Krista and into her arms.
Obviously, he is a stray, and what he wants from Krista is now clear. He has chosen her as his family.
Krista also makes a decision
Chase, as the young woman calls the four-legged friend, immediately captured Krista’s heart. She doesn’t know how to permanently adopt him, especially since she would need to bring him to the USA, but
“we will make it work,”
she is sure. Krista has made her decision: the dog who chose her will stay with her.
For a while, Krista is still traveling with friends in Bolivia. It’s no problem that Chase simply accompanies her.
Krista and Chase quickly become a close-knit duo, as if they had known each other forever.
But now, Krista’s departure is approaching. Chase has to go with her, that’s for sure, but it’s not that simple.
There is a lot of paperwork to be done before the dog can travel to the USA. Since Krista can’t wait that long, she contacts an animal welfare organization that arranges a foster family for him.
The time has finally come
It takes seven months, but then Krista can finally bring her Chase home.
When she picks him up in Bolivia, the joy of their reunion knows no bounds.
And then it begins. The journey to the airport, the flight itself, and the moment they arrive in Miami and embrace each other again, all of it is unforgettable.
After that, there’s a long car ride to Tennessee, and then the two of them take a walk to stretch their legs.
Subsequently, Chase gets to know his new home and immediately feels so comfortable, as if he had always been there.
Chase is incredibly grateful and happy, and so is Krista.
