By purchasing products from the iHugDogs store, funds are raised for the non-profit organization “Greater Good Charities.” This organization supports various animals through its GOODS Program, which delivers healthy meals to shelters and rescue organizations. Thanks to such donations, numerous animals have already been saved.
This little senior Toy Poodle was once found wandering alone near a small airport in north Georgia. Fortunately, a dog lover named Joe discovered him, picked him up, and brought him home.
Joe shared the dog’s photo on social media, and he informed local animal control about finding the stray pup. Despite these efforts, no one stepped forward to claim him.
Georgia Dog Advocates, noticing Joe’s online post, offered to visit his home and scan the dog for a microchip. They discovered that the tiny pup was indeed chipped, but the owners had unregistered the chip after rehoming the dog. The dog appeared undernourished, with a dirty coat, filthy ears, overgrown nails, and a pressing need for dental care, suggesting he hadn’t been well cared for.
Despite advanced cataracts impairing his vision, there’s hope that someone will recognize and reclaim this adorable little boy. In the meantime, they are committed to providing him with the best care possible. If his owners do come forward, the advocates will offer services to enhance his health.
Thanks to Greater Good Charities’ GOODS program, this sweet pup receives all the canned wet food he needs, crucial since his dental condition makes it difficult for him to eat hard, dry food. The GOODS program not only aids dogs directly in their care but also serves as a vital support for many dog owners in the local community who may be facing financial challenges. Without the GOODS program, they wouldn’t be able to assist dogs and their families in need every month.
Because a portion of every purchase from iHugDogs.com contributes to this life-saving program, you, as a customer, have played a role in ensuring rescued dogs lead healthy and happy lives. Thank you!
