Abandoned Puppies Find an Unusual Friend

A group of four orphaned puppies has a rough start in life.

They are brought to Andrea by a man who is a member of 2nd Chances Rescue, and she provides her home as a foster care facility.

One day, the man arrives with the four puppies, claiming he found them in his yard. Unable to catch the mother, he collected the little dogs.

Rescuers usually have no choice but to believe the stories of people surrendering animals. In the end, the background is not as crucial as the fact that the animals need help.

Andrea understands this and takes in the four puppies.

Initially, the little dogs are afraid

It takes them a while to adjust to the new environment. No wonder, everything is new, and their mother is no longer around.

However, the four furry ones are not Andrea’s only wards. She also has an 80-year-old Sulcata tortoise named Goliath living with her.

Soon, the animal lover notices that a connection is forming between the tortoise and the puppies.

One day, when Andrea realizes that one of the puppies is missing, she panics. But there is no need to worry: the little one has made itself comfortable in Goliath’s stall.

Admittedly, the combination sounds unusual. However, the puppies seem to feel safe with the tortoise.

They enjoy the company of the reptile and like to snuggle up to it. The affection seems to be mutual because Goliath also likes the little dogs very much.

Tortoises are very gentle creatures and love contact with other animals. Most dogs would prefer to keep their distance, so such friendships are not very common.

But these puppies have no fear; they love their new tortoise buddy.
