There are things that simply shouldn’t happen and deeply sadden every animal lover.
One of these helpless puppies is Little Minnie.
The sight is heart-wrenching
Little Minnie is still a tiny baby and has to manage all alone on the streets without her mom.
The poor little being has lost all hope, but then she is found by the animal rescue organization “Little Steps Matter.”
No one knows how long the little one has been out there all alone, what has happened to her, and where her mom is. But her heart-wrenching appearance shows how much she is suffering.
Little Minnie is starving and thirsty; her soft puppy fur is all dirty, and her eyes reflect deep sadness.
She is probably no more than two months old but already so terribly unhappy. It’s a miracle that she is still alive.
The starving puppy gets a hearty meal first. It seems like Little Minnie can’t believe it.
She seems to feel that she can trust these people and that everything will finally be okay. Gratefully, she lets them pick her up and pet her.
Once at the shelter, the delicate little furball is gently bathed and dried. With clean fur and a full stomach, she already feels better.
The animal rescuers are taking excellent care of the poor baby. Little Minnie needs to recover and regain her strength before, hopefully, finding a loving home.
Small steps make a big difference
The animal rescuers are relieved they could save Little Minnie. However, they are also aware that countless other puppies are fighting for survival on the streets.
But every single dog’s life matters. Every rescued dog is one more happy animal and one less suffering soul.
It’s good that the animal rescuers captured the rescue on video. This way, millions of people on the internet are made aware of the plight of stray dogs.
The viewers of the PawsInNeed YouTube channel are deeply moved by the video.
Teresa Benosky writes,
“It breaks my heart that these little babies are out there trying to survive all alone. People need to do so much better.”
