The bed is a sacred place, a fact known to us humans as well as our fluffy companions.
So, it’s not surprising that dogs aren’t thrilled when another takes over their bed.
This was the case for the Golden Retriever Bailey, who suddenly had to share his dog bed with two puppies.
What were his humans thinking? After all, it’s not just any bed; it’s Bailey’s bed!
A fluffy battle for ownership of the beloved dog bed began…
Bailey Faced a Dilemma
Two irresistibly cute puppies enjoyed their day with play, fun, and frolic – typical puppy activities.
So far, so good, but then fate took an unexpected turn.
Suddenly, the little fluffballs were placed on Bailey’s bed. Bailey couldn’t believe what he saw and tried to make it clear to the furry troublemakers that this was not acceptable.
At first, he tried the gentle approach and pulled at the bed’s edge. If the two pests didn’t disappear immediately, he threatened to turn them into furry burritos.
But the puppy babies weren’t really interested…
He Sought Help from His Owners
Now, Bailey had no choice but to enlist his bipeds’ help. He barked to get their attention, but to no avail.
It was not to be expected that his humans would be on his side in this territorial dispute.
So, Bailey had no choice but to continue asserting his dominance alone.
He barked and started rolling the bed. Would Bailey prevail?
The Golden Retriever Didn’t Give Up
Now, more drastic measures were necessary. Bailey pulled at the bed, hoping the puppies would simply slide off. Slowly but surely, he succeeded, temporarily regaining control.
Confident in his victory, he settled into his bed to show the little troublemakers who’s boss.
However, they found it more amusing than frightening and invited Bailey to play.
Since the Golden Retriever had such a gentle nature, he kept his frustration in check and let the little ones have their way. What a compassionate dog!
