The miniature horse named Chanel had a tough start in life, sadly being rejected by her mother right after birth.

The breeder reached out to Josh Dolan and Jenn Stribl of the Peeps Foundation.

Chanel was to find a loving home

The sweet miniature horse was not supposed to be on her own, so Josh Dolan and Jenn Stribl decided to take Chanel in.

From that moment on, Chanel became part of the family.

This marked the beginning of a heartwarming friendship between the Labrador named Huckleberry and Chanel.

The two got along fantastically from the very first second.

The miniature horse was mistaken for a dog

Since the horse was smaller than all the dog siblings and friends, Chanel was often mistaken for one of the dogs.

At first, it wasn’t clear if Chanel would even make it.

But fortunately, she had found a loving home where she received a lot of care.

With affection and regular bottle feeding every two hours, Chanel made it.

Huckleberry always took care of the miniature horse, helping Chanel stay active.

They frolicked together and played like the best of friends.

Exactly that helped Chanel regain new vitality.
