In Bali, a stray puppy is found. The pup has a huge belly, making it almost unable to move. The organization Little Steps Matter steps in. The dog is taken to the vet. The diagnosis is devastating:
His life expectancy is extremely low. But the dog wants to keep on living.
A dangerous bloated belly
The vet recognizes that the dog is suffering from ascites. This involves a large accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity, usually due to liver disease.
As if that’s not enough, the puppy also contracts the parvovirus. This virus is highly contagious and very dangerous for unvaccinated dogs.
A survivor
Sabine, who took the dog to the vet, does not want to give up on him. After six weeks of treatment, she takes him home. There, he is supposed to continue recovering.
At home, more dogs are waiting and warmly welcome Tobi, the newcomer. In this family, Tobi also heals emotionally.
Here, Tobi also shows his playful nature. He truly blossoms in this family. He plays with the other dogs, cuddles with the people.
The will to live has carried Tobi through his illnesses until he found a home where he can feel safe and secure.
Originally, Tobi was supposed to be nursed back to health by the foster family and then put up for adoption. But Sabine ultimately adopted him herself.
The viewers of the video are thrilled with the transformation Tobi has shown. And the people who save such dogs also receive praise in the comments.
“Thank you to the team for saving him. May God bless you,”
