Barbie found her way to Rescue Pets of Florida as a stray, but her rescuers soon discovered there was more to her story. Judging by her injuries, it appeared that Barbie had been hit by a car in the past, necessitating a lengthy road to recovery. The rescue provided her with a comfortable place to rest while she healed.
“She’s very sweet and loves being with people, showering them with gentle kisses,” shared Rescue Pets of Florida. “She’s seeking a family that will love her forever and never abandon her on the streets again.”
Barbie Finds Safety
Having found safety at the shelter, Barbie has significantly come out of her shell and grown stronger. She enthusiastically embraced the new toy donations, playing with them regularly and preferring to keep them to herself whenever possible.
The GOODS Program doesn’t just donate toys; it provides whatever the shelter dogs need the most. For many animal rescue organizations, this includes nutritious food and treats. With food and other essential supplies taken care of, the rescue can direct its funds toward other crucial areas, such as medical care for injured dogs like Barbie.
