A woman found a cardboard box on the side of the road. When she opened it, her heart broke. Here’s what she discovered inside.
It’s always heartbreaking to hear about animals being abandoned like trash, but it’s uplifting to know there are kind people who step in to rescue them. These heroes restore our faith in humanity.
While walking by, a woman noticed a sealed cardboard box with openings on the top. As she got closer, she heard sounds coming from inside. Curiosity and concern led her to open the box, and what she found made her heart ache.
Inside were tiny, very young, and extremely skinny puppies. She knew they needed help fast, so she called for professional assistance.
A volunteer from the Diasozo Animal Rescue quickly arrived and confirmed the puppies were severely malnourished. The volunteer took them to the shelter where they received food and medical care.
Whoever abandoned these puppies had separated them from their mother, leaving them to perish. If it weren’t for the woman who found them and the compassionate volunteer, the puppies would likely have starved to death.
Once safe at the shelter, the puppies began to thrive. They grew stronger, more curious about their surroundings, and their playful personalities started to shine through.
When they are strong enough, they will be put up for adoption. Our sincere hope is that each of the nine puppies will find a loving, caring family to call their own.
